What to Expect

  • Casual garden-party dress requested, but not required! Think dresses & polos, whatever makes you feel cute but prepared for the outdoors.

  • Parking will be limited. Carpooling or ride-share is recommended.

  • Casual food, yard games, board games, and group activities.

  • The venue does not permit the serving of alcohol, but guests are encouraged to explore the downtown bar scene nearby afterwards if interested!

  • We’ll be there, rain or shine! Kids and furry friends encouraged to attend.

  • Come and go as you please! This is an open-house style event meant to be fun for all. We’re keeping it casual and fun-centered!

Important Note!

Our venue is at a lovely (and popular) local hike spot. There are a few parking spots available, but we can’t control how many of those may be taken by trail visitors. The Olympia Farmer’s Market and some neighborhoods are nearby, which are great for Uber or Lyft pickups.

We highly recommend carpooling or taking a ride-share from a nearby neighborhood to ensure a stress-free arrival.

Visiting From Afar?

Thanks for making the trek! Here are some lodging options and things to know.

Lodging

The garden is located very close to Olympia’s historic neighborhood. There are some gorgeous AirBnB options that give you the full Olympia experience and support the local economy! Feel free to send us some links if you’re not sure about any options.

The standard hotel options are available in the area as well. If cost is a prohibitive factor to your visit reach out and we may be able to arrange accommodations in the family.

Transportation

The Olympia area is pretty much in-between the Seattle and Portland Airports. If you can handle a slightly longer drive we highly recommend the Portland Airport for a better experience overall. Seattle is okay too if you’re looking to get there quicker.

Just a reminder: Carpool or Uber is highly recommended when getting to the party itself!

Dining

We don’t have a ton of recommendations here, but one place in particular deserves a shout out… Left Bank Pastry has some amazing French pastries and makes a great brunch stop.

Family Barbecue

We are grateful to have many family and friends attending from out of state. Since our reception is shorter and more casual, we wanted to include an additional option to spend time with one another!

Join us for some casual dinner options, bubble soccer, s’mores, and fun the night before our reception!
